Small Pantry Organization Must Haves

I have spent the last three years organizing and reorganizing to find the most functional items for my pantry and here are my absolute must haves to optimize the space. I always recommend to find the balance between aesthetic and function because if it doesn’t work for you efficiently day to day, then you’re not going to enjoy the aesthetic of it in the long run.

1. Over the Door Pantry Organizer

I can’t say enough good things about the over the door rack, accept that I have bought several for storage all over my home. It’s a great way to create more space.

2. Adjustable Spice Rack

I have absolutely loved this spice rack as you can have it adjust to the right size for you.

3. Small Jars with Wide Mouth

I wasn’t entirely sold on getting jars for my spices, but I absolutely love the look in my pantry. I love the wide mouth on these as they still allow for measuring spoons and generally fit the entire spice bottle in so there is no need for a funnel when refilling.

4. Lazy Susan Organizers

I use these throughout the home for organization, so this pack is a great deal and very budget friendly. See their use in my pantry here!

5. Food Storage Containers with Lids

I have used different containers over the years until I was able to afford a set of all matching food storage containers. I do like skipping the labels because if your grocery shopping needs change you can easily change the containers contents. These fit nicely in the over the door organizer!

6. Ziplock Bag Organizer

Not only does this help get rid of the clutter of mismatch sized cardboard boxes, but it’s no longer a guessing game at which size is in which box with these being properly labeled.

7. Decorative Storage Baskets

Nothing quite beats the price of these bins from Target. They’re large and great for storing food. I like finding plastic baskets for food items to make sure that if there are any spills that it’s an easy clean too.
